Clel E. Baudler (born April 4, 1939) is the Iowa State Representative from the 20th District. A Republican, he has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 1999. Baudler was born and raised in Fontanelle, Iowa and resides in Greenfield. He served as a state trooper with the Iowa State Patrol for 32 years. , Baudler serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Agriculture, Environmental Protection, Government Oversight, and Natural Resources committees. He also serves as the chair of the Public Safety committee. ==Biography== Clel Baudler was first elected in 1998. Prior to becoming elected to the House, Clel was an Iowa State Trooper for 32 years. Since retirement, Clel keeps busy farming. Clel was born on April 4, 1939, in Fontanelle, Iowa. His father, Albert, was a farmer and cattle buyer, and his mother, Nora, was a homemaker. He grew up and went to school in Fontanelle where he graduated from Fontanelle High School in 1957. In 1961, Clel married his wife, Mary Carole, and together, they have 4 grown children and are blessed with 9 grandchildren. Even though Clel is retired from the Iowa State Patrol, he remains active in several organizations.
